Mission and purpose

The purpose of Creative Decisions is to facilitate, plan, design and manage processes to create more sustainable communities and economies. We are a family business started in 2004, that originated in a private consultancy which began in 2002. Our strengths are science, engineering, statistical services, and processes to achieve sustainability. While we engage in a range of specialised technical consultancy, the company was established as a vehicle for advancing hypergovernance and the KiwiGrow™ approach in particular. We want to see:

• Governments truly accountable for what matters
• Businesses and organisations that can be trusted
• A financial system with integrity
• Markets sensitive to the real needs of people and ecosystems
• A climate that has stabilised
• Ecosystems that are cared for, rehabilitated and restored
• Water that is clean, safe, and available
• Resources being used efficiently, and conserved
• People leading safe, fulfilling, and meaningful lives, and
• Our many benign cultures being respected and valued for the enrichment they can bring to our lives - either as healthy challenges to comfortable assumptions and beliefs, or as forms of support and affirmation.

Ideally, our contribution to these aims, in the long term, will be:

• Widespread governance and sustainability reporting using the KiwiGrow approach and NZ2100 model;
• An internet-based global sustainability reporting system built around NZ2100 and the KiwiGrow™ ecosystem approach, that is used routinely in ethical investment and procurement, and in community planning and development;
• A spatially-enabled KiwiGrow Network, linking groups that sign up to the NZ2100 sustainability model;
• KiwiGrow being used as an internationally-recognised New Zealand sustainability brand;
• Creative Decisions becoming a sustainable business and exemplar of the new economy and the KiwiGrow approach;
• A well-being industry built around Personal KiwiGrow, which forms the basis for managing, in an integrated way, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of wellbeing;
• KiwiGrow routinely used as an instrument for sustainable community development and ecological rehabilitation in New Zealand;
• New Zealand's natural resources increasingly being managed through integrated catchment management by networks of collaborating NZ2100 entities;
• A modern kaitiakitanga, or guardianship of New Zealand's natural resources, which uses KiwiGrow as the basis for a synthesis of Maori and NZ European-based approaches;
• NZ2100 routinely used as a model for guiding systems management research, of all kinds.
